In 2002 I made a basketball game for my government class. Two teams, a rack of basketballs, and a question on every ball. Answer it right and your player takes the shot.
It’s back as the Basketball Review Game. The game has been rebuilt for the browser, and I dropped “Government” from the name — it works for any subject now.
A coin toss decides who goes first. Teams pick a ball from the rack: R balls are 2-point questions and E balls are 3-pointers. Go for the easy two or gamble on the three. That’s the whole strategy, and kids argue about it every time.
The 2002 Foundations of Government questions come loaded as the sample set. Teachers can swap in their own questions, name the teams, and pick team colors before the tip-off. The Teacher Guide shows you how.
One confession. Back in 2002 I never figured out how to give my player his second arm. Twenty-four years later, he finally has two.
