Back in 2003 I built an archery game for my American West unit and called it Looking West. Two players, one target, and a quiver full of questions. It ran in ToolBook, which means it hasn’t run anywhere in a long time.
It’s back, and it has a new name: Target Practice.
Here’s how it plays. A player picks an arrow from the quiver. Blue arrows are multiple choice — pick an answer. Orange arrows are the tough ones — type the answer. Get it right and the archer lets fly at the target. Then the other side steps up. Twenty-four arrows, two archers, one scoreboard.
The original 2003 American West questions come loaded as the sample set, but the questions are yours to change. Teacher Setup lets you put in your own, so it works for any subject — vocabulary, science, literature, whatever you’re reviewing this week. There’s even a Print button so you can hand out the questions afterward.
